Angeline’s Inn Wedding Proposal

A surprise proposal is an emotional rollercoaster. It's actually very similar to the first look on a wedding day. Our couples tell us that they were surprised by how much emotion overcame them during their proposals. This surprise proposal at Angeline's Inn in Bloomfield was just about the sweetest thing and absolutely filled to the brim with emotion.

When Jonathan (a.k.a Mr.Caveliere) reached out to us to help plan his surprise wedding proposal we went through all the steps we outline in our How to Plan a Prince Edward County Surprise Proposal post. He decided on the grounds of Angeline's Inn as this fit with his cover story and made for an easy transition to their celebratory dinner. We met Jonathan and Hillory in their suite at Angeline's and pretended to be shooting content for a collaboration between Mr. Caveliere and Angeline's.

As we ventured throughout the grounds of Angeline's we moved through a few of the backdrop options we had presented to Jonathan for the proposal. These two were an absolute dream to photograph- completely engaged with each other and enjoying every second of being snuggled up in each other's arms. We followed Jonathan's lead and waited for the secret phrase (established ahead of the session so we knew when he was ready to get down on one knee).

As it turned out, by the time he was ready we were in none of the planned backdrops. He and Hillory stood in the middle of a field and he went for it.

We cannot wait to capture J + H's wedding next year. We've been on one emotional roller coaster together and are so looking forward to the next one!
